Mahmoud Al-Aloul, Deputy-Chairman of Fatah, said during an interview on the Palestinian official TV that Hussein Al-Sheikh, member of the Central Committee and Head of the Civil Affairs Authority, visited prisoner Marwan Barghouti, member in Fatah Central Committee, and agreed with him on running for elections under one joint list some days ago.

Al-Aloul confirmed that the Fatah Central Committee holds a weekly meeting to address all details related to the elections. All members are involved in the discussions including the two prisoners and members in Fatah Central Committee Marwan Barghouti and Karim Yunis .

He pointed out that a number of the PLO’s factions expressed their desire to be on Fatah’s list in exchange for seats while others will give their support without being included in the list.
