Haim Manor, a former security official at the Shabak, said in an article in Makor Rishon newspaper that the security calm in the occupied West Bank is only showed in the media but the confrontations continue all 24/7.

Manor noted that the official statements of the army's spokesperson revealed 1,500 incidents of stone throwing in 2020, 229 Molotov being thrown at settlers, 3951 stone throwing at 'Israeli' soldiers, 698 Molotov bottles, and 56 Fedayeen operations, in which 3 settlers were killed and 46 injured.

He added that any accident in the West Bank may turn into confrontations which threaten their lives and bring chaos to the region.

He warned that if the 'Israeli' leaders continue to bet on the PA's continuity and that its security devices do not fall under the pressure of the public; it would not prevent any future attack. Or else, the 'Israeli's will wake up to a difficult security situation all around the West Bank.
