Omar Samara, mayor of Haris town, said that some settlers cut olive trees, destroyed bricks, vandalized an agricultural land in the town with the objective of seizing a nearby road for farmers in the west of the town.

Hundreds of settlers broke into Birnat site on top of Mount Ebal in north Nablus. The forces spread in the surrounding streets to cover the settlers. This is the first time for this number of settlers and families to break into this site.

The settlers claim that the location has the tomb of Yusha bin Nun, which dates back to 13 BC. Lots of archeologists, including Israeli ones, refute this allegation.
