Fathi Abu Warda, Counselor of Minister of MoH, told Sawt Falastin Radio that the epidemiological situation in the Gaza Strip is becoming more serious after the third stage of the pandemic started. The number of infected people rose to over 1000 in 24 hours.  

Abu Warda said that the positive test results reached 29%, which is quite serious. Entire families have been arriving to the hospital. He said that this could be because the new variant of the virus entered the Strip.

He also said that the new situation has made the citizens accept taking the vaccine after having refused to.

Abu Warda pointed that there are currently 203 critical cases in the hospitals, and 32 using ventilators.
