Zaher Jabbarin, member in Hamas' Political Bureau, gave Al-Aqsa TV details on the last moments before the declaration of a ceasefire between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation.
Jabbarin said that the mediator informed Hamas of the occupation's approval of a ceasefire as the movement was already sure the Cabinet would make the decision unilaterally.
He added that the resistance informed the mediator of what would happen should the occupation disregard the ceasefire. At the time, the occupation had informed 3 buildings of being targeted to ensure that the resistance would not fire the last missile before the ceasefire.
It was then the resistance warned against the bombardment of buildings, and that it would be met with fierce response. After that, Abu Ubaida, Al-Qassam spokesperson, delivered a powerful statement forcing the occupation to change its decision and inform the residents of the three buildings that the call was by mistake.
