Israeli media outlets reported that the Cabinet decided to postpone the flag march to next Tuesday. Aviv Kochavi, Chief of Staff; Shabak Director Nadav Argaman and Police General recommended not allowing the extreme right groups to hold their march in the Islamic Square and Al-Amoud Gate this Thursday.
The decision was made upon concerns over military escalation with the Gaza Strip after the Palestinian factions had warned of triggering the situation if the settlers' hold the march.
Itamar Ben-Gvir attacked the decision to postpone the march and said that the occupation lost control and hegemony and that Hamas now makes threats and the Israeli leadership retreats.
