Five Prisoners on Hunger Strike

Qadri Abu Bakr, Head of the Committee for Detainees and Ex-Detainees, said during his visit to Prisoner Abu Atwan solidarity tent that 5 prisoners are still on a hunger strike in a protest against their administrative detention.

Abu Bakr said that the health conditions of the prisoners on hunger strikes are deteriorating, especially prisoner Al-Ghadandfar Abu Atwan who has been on a strike for 41 days.

Abu Atwan is imprisoned at Al-Ramla clinic in a dirty cell. His health condition is deteriorating especially after having been on a strike for several days and under torture by the jailors.

The prisoners on the hunger strike are Sheikh Khad Adnan, Amru Al-Shami, Yusuf Al-Amer and Sheikh Jamal Al-Tawil are on their hunger strike despite the cruel maltreatment they receive from the jailors.
