The Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper reported details from informed sources that the Palestinian resistance once again informed the Egyptian mediator that it completely rejects the occupation's attempts to link the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip with the captured soldiers' file.
The newspaper reported that the resistance intensified its field pressure on the occupation while comfortably handling the prisoners' file, and disregarded all attempts to pressurize it. Its focus is on the release of the names it had sent to the occupation.
The newspaper also said that new problems may affect the negotiations because of the expected changes in the Israeli delegation. Political sources said that new PM Naftali Bennett is considering changing Meir Ben-Shabbat, Chief of Staff of National Security, who was assigned the prisoners' negotiations with Yarun Blum.
