The Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper said that Hamas informed the Qataris and Egyptians of its approval of the new mechanism for allowing the Qatari grant into the Gaza Strip under the condition of the occupation's provision of monthly liquidity to the operating banks in Gaza.

The new mechanism allows the transfer of money via operating Palestinian banks in Gaza. The Qatari Committee would receive the grant from the banks and deposit it in the mail so that it would be later distributed in accordance with the plan discussed by the Cabinet.

The newspaper said that the occupation will examine 160,000 nominated beneficiaries from the grant to ensure that they have no affiliations with the resistance.

The newspaper reported that the Egyptians had informed the occupation of the consequences of continuing to close down the crossings and preventing the entry of goods piled in the Israeli seaports, and advised the entity to open the crossings and allow the entry of Qatari grant before Eid Al-Fitr.
