The Israeli occupation intelligence kidnapped the freed prisoner Medhat Al-Essawi, who is 48 years old and has served his 8-year sentence, immediately after his release before Megiddo prison and prevented his family from seeing him.

The forces had already arrested his brother Rafat from his home in Essawiya village and released him after a 3-hour interrogation. Rafat refused to sign the conditions that ban celebrating his brother's release.

Medhat was arrested along with his sister Shireen, a lawyer who was charged for transferring money to the families of the prisoners and martyrs.

The total number of years Medhat served is 27. He is married and has a daughter.
