The Qatari Ambassador Mohammed Al-Emadi, Chairman of Qatar's Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, met with Yahya Al-Sinwar, Chief of Hamas in Gaza, and other members from the movement.

Al-Emadi said that his country is exerting great efforts with all parties to solidify the ceasefire and prevent a new escalation from taking place. He said that Qatar is determined to provide the Gaza Strip with aid and relief, and transfer financial grants; the most recent of which was $500M for the construction of Gaza.

Al-Sinwar presented the updates of the recent talks with the Egyptians and other parties regarding reaching a calm and lifting the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. He also warned of the consequences of tightening the siege, and highlighted the adherence of all national powers to the agreements, crossings' opening and facilitations.
