Mahmoud Arda, one of the six prisoners, revealed new details about his escape from Giloa prison through his attorney Ruslan Majahneh.
The attorney of the Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Commission, quoting from Arda, that he dug the escape to get away from the prison alone, and that he cut the iron through a metal bolt he found. He also had a sharp instrument that helped him to cut the manhole cover with the other prisoners Munadel Nufay’at, Mohammed Arda and Yacoub Qadri.
The attorney added that what helped the prisoners to keep digging is that they found building materials, sharp instruments and belts that were left after the construction of this prison.
He also noted that the prisoners did not ask for anybody’s help from inside the Palestinian lands as they feared the Israeli occupation’s brutality against the citizens.
He so added that no one from the occupied Palestinian lands betrayed them and that the occupation spread this rumor to plant doubt and hatred between the Palestinian people.
