Seven Prisoners on Hunger Strike

Sep 28, 2021 11:48 am

Palestinian Society Prisoner's Club stated that seven Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons continue their open hunger strike. The oldest was Kayed Al-Fasfoud, who has been on a hunger strike for 75 days; Miqdad Al-Qawasmeh, 68. They both are in Kaplan Medical Center.

Alaa Al-A'raj has been on hunger strike for 50 days; Hisham Abo Hawwash, 42, Rayeq Bisharat, 37, Shadi Abo Aker, 34; and Hasan Shokah, 8.

The Israeli occupation refused to respond to their demands to end the administrative detention imposed on them.

The administrative detention policy is a decision of arrest issued by an Israeli military order under the pretext of security threat, without any charges. It is usually a decision of arrest of 6 months and may extend for more.

4850 Palestinian prisoners, including 520 administrative, are in the Israeli occupation prisons right now.
