Abdullah kmeil, the governor of Salfit, said, via his Facebook account, that the Israeli occupation seeks to establish a new settlement project in the west of the governorate; to establish a sewage system that connects the settlements in the north of the occupied West Bank.
He noted that the system will pass through Deir Ista town in the west of Salfit -length 8 km and width 30 m. Accordingly, thousands of acres of Palestinians' lands will be seized for the sake of settlement expansion. The project will also pollute Qana river.
Said Zidan, head of Deir Ista's Municipality, said they will exert all possible efforts to cancel the occupation's plan to implement this project. He confirmed that they are working on preparing the documents that prove the citizens' ownership of those plans in order to file a legal objection against it in the court.
