Occupation Rejects Early Release of Prisoner Nasser Abu Humaid

Oct 07, 2022 12:59 pm

The Special Committee on Cancer Prisoner Nasser Abu Humaid rejected his request for early release, despite his critical health condition.

The prisoner's club confirmed that this decision was foreseen in light of previous resolutions that departed from special committees that considered similar issues over the past years, including cases of sick prisoners, specifically after amendments and additions to the occupation laws.

Prisoner Abu Hamid has been medically neglected for years, and his health situation began to deteriorate in August last year, until he was declared to have lung cancer as a result of the occupation prison administration's procrastination in conducting medical examinations.
