Hiwar Centre for Studies organized, December 21, the launch ceremony of the "The Guidance Manual of the Most Prominent Media Outlets and Figures Advocating for the Civil and Political Rights in Northern and Southern Europe" under the sponsorship of PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre.
Wael Al-Mabhouh, Director of Hiwar, said that there is a glorious civil sector that supports the civil rights and combats injustice and apartheid policies inside and outside Palestine. Thus, the relative institutes were collected in this manual to support the Palestinian rights and the efforts were intensified to affect the international courts to support the Palestinians' struggle in order to help them obtain their freedom and independence.
Al-Mabhouh added that preparing the manual took 7 months of research, translation and design. It is also the second session of the Guidance Manual of the Most Prominent Media Outlets and Figures Advocating for the Civil and Political Rights in the United States, hoping that the third section of this project will be achieved in western Europe countries.
Dr. Hatem Abu Zaida, general advisor of the project, mentioned that all institutes must be used for defending the Palestinian cause and that no opportunity shall be given for the occupation to move freely. He said there are many advocators and defenders of democracy and the Palestinian rights in the western world, but we lack communication with such personnel to deliver the precise Palestinian narrative to the whole world. "As owners of the Palestinian cause, we had to search for media outlets and personnel that adopt the democratic option and defend the human rights and put them in a manual to be invested for Palestine and the Palestinian cause."
Nuha Eleyan, Spokeswoman of PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre, stated that this project was funded by PALM for its significance as it facilitates access to the largest number of human rights supports to shed the light on the Israeli occupation's crimes against everything that is Palestinian, mobilize the public opinion towards the Palestinian cause and hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes. He also hopes that this manual would reach the hands of every person as well as would be used in favor of the Palestinian cause, particularly the cause of prisoners, which PALM will focus on more by the beginning of 2023.
