Knesset of the Israeli occupation on first reading decided to revoke citizenship or residence from Al-Quds prisoners and the occupied Palestinian interior in 1948, who are found receiving any money from the Palestinian Authority.
Israeli newspaper “Israel Hume” reported that, Ofir Kats, the head of the Knesset government coalition said: "We have taken important steps today and promised that we will complete the legislation in two weeks and we will do so."
The Knesset's step on the citizenship revocation bill follows the release of the prisoner Karim Younis after serving 40 years in detention amid an incitement demanding the revocation of citizenship from him.
