Introduction

Mediation and de-escalation between the Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli occupation army can never be achieved amid never-ending rounds of fighting and without the presence of an essential role played by Egypt in defining the armistice's lines. This role is effective and cannot be left by the United States. Thus, this article aims to cover the Egyptian General Intelligence's invitation directed to the Palestinian Resistance factions to visit Cairo, specify its goals and predict its consequences.
