The Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, implied that the most recent developments might lead to an unrelenting civil war in Israel. There have been numerous anti-Netenyahu protests in Israel during the past few weeks. 

In a statement, Herzong said: "We're at a turning point, whether it's a historical crisis or a crucial constitutional moment. Anyone who believes that a civil war is unlikely is dead incorrect.” The possibility of a civil war, he emphasized, was not far. 

Herzong previously stated: "We're in a serious situation, and the crisis would have an impact on politics, the economy, society, and security."
