The official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, stressed Egypt's complete rejection of the statements established by the Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, in which he denied the existence of the Palestinian people with their heritage, culture, history, and identity.

Furthermore, he emphasized that those words are reckless and incendiary, and the racism they include ignores historical and geographic realities and incites hostility and consternation toward the Palestinian people as well as other people intact souls around the world.

He considered that such statements undermine the efforts aimed to achieve calm between the Palestinians and Israelis.
