While tomorrow, Thursday, happens to be the first day of Ramadan, 2000 Palestinian prisoners are starting a hunger strike. This resolution was taken after the failure of discussions, and the Israeli prisons’ administration has been reluctant to reverse its repressive measures on the prisons, as recommended by Itamar Ben Gvir, Minister of National Security of Israel.
Prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, continue to go through “disobedience” for the 37th day in a row, after the occupation decided to start applying the repressive measures on them, as recommended by Ben Gvir.
The repressive measures imposed on the prisoners by the Israeli prisons’ administration manifested in: limiting the amount of water they use, shortening bath times, giving inmates stale bread, increasing incursions and searches, ratifying the prisoners' deprivation of treatment, and imposing the death penalty on the perpetrators.
