Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, refused to prevent settlers' incursions into Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa during the last ten days of Ramadan. However, tension has escalated in Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.

According to Israeli media, Itamar Ben-Gvi, the Minister of National Security of Israel, opposes preventing the incursions. Furthermore, Yoav Gallant, the Minister of Defence of Israel and Herzi Halevy, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, support Ben Gvir.

Ben Gvir claims that closing Al-Masjid Al-aqsa is a “surrender to terrorism," and demanded that such incursions be allowed on Wednesday, the 7th day of the Jewish Passover holiday.
