The Israeli public prosecution decided to end its investigation into the murder of 26-year-old Mohammed Al-Osaibi by Israeli police at Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa's doors during Ramadan.
The prosecution argued that the crime perpetrated by the Israeli policemen was legal and that the lack of time to activate the body-worn cameras prevented them from recording it. Also, the crime was performed in a dead area without any surveillance cameras.
According to the Israeli police, Al-Osaibi attempted to snatch a policeman's gun and carry out a Fedayeen Operation at Bab Al-Silsilah (one of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa foor). However, eyewitnesses confirm that the Israeli policemen shot Al-Osaibi after a fight with them, as they assaulted, beat up, and attempted to remove a woman from the courtyards of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.
