A new scheme for the Israeli occupation municipality in Al-Quds aims to expand the construction works in the Giv'at HaMatos settlement, which is built on the Palestinian occupied lands in Beit Safafa neighborhood, occupied Al-Quds. 

According to this scheme, settlement construction rights are expanded from 300 to 1500 outposts. As a result, all contact between Bethlehem in the south and East Al-Quds was shut off.

The scheme has been ratified in Giv'at HaMatos for decades. The settlement contains 2610 outposts. Also, wide infrastructure extensions are being done to prepare the area for the future settlement works.
