Flags March: Occupation Closes Al-Qibli Prayer Hall, Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa

May 18, 2023 11:58 am

This morning, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), closed Al-Qibli Prayer Hall after kicking the Palestinian worshipers and murabeteen out of it. In order to pave the way for the settlers’ storming of Al-Aqsa prior to the Flags March, and to provide guardianship for them, the IOF deployed in Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa yards.

Also, the Israeli police opened Al-Mughrabi Gate, one of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa’s gates, to the throngs of colonial Israeli settlers storming Al-Aqsa. Not only this, but they posed restrictions on the entry of the Palestinians into Al-Aqsa, detaining some of them, and brutally assaulted others in the Old City of Al-Quds.

The Israeli police intensify its security and military existence in the Old City, so that they can guard settlers during the Flags March, which is scheduled to take place toady, organized by extremist right groups and settlers, commemorating what is called “Al-Quds Unification Day”, and the occupying of the eastern part of Al-Quds due to the Israeli calendar.
