The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" published its weekly poll, which revealed a growing popularity of the religious Zionist parties and "Yamina" in contrast to the declining popularity of Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
The "National Camp" list, headed by Benny Gantz, surpassed Likud by three seats in the Knesset and ranked first as the largest party in case general elections were held now. The poll indicated that 42% of respondents believed that Benny Gantz was the most suitable for the position of prime minister, compared to 38% for Netanyahu.
These results indicate that the opposition parties have a total of 66 seats, compared to 54 seats for the current coalition parties.
