Palestinain Liberation Organization National Bureau for defending Land documented the Israeli occupation forces' approval of more than 3,000 additional settlement units in the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds.

According to a statement from the Bureau, more than 600 new settlement units have been approved for the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in east Al-Quds, 615 units have been approved for the major settlements in Al-Quds, and the same number has been approved for the northern occupied West Bank, including the construction of a new settlement in Salfit Governorate.

The deposit of two proposals for the construction of 1,700 new settlement units east of the "Ramot" settlement in Al-Quds was approved by the local committee for planning and building.

The decision to approve these new units is a part of a settlement project that will eventually result in the completion of 58,000 settlement homes in East Al-Quds, with the intention of expanding the number of colonial settlers living there.
