Responding to an official Egyptian invitation, Hamas and Jihad delegates headed from Gaza to Cairo to meet Egyptian officials and discuss several matters. The most important of which is calmness.

Delegates arrived at Cairo to meet officials in the Egyptian Intelligence Service to discuss the prospects of an ongoing ceasefire in Gaza and negotiate other bilateral and economic issues. It is expected that two delegates of Hamas and Jihad leadership would also come from Doha and Beirut to Cairo, according to several sources. 

More than a million Palestinians suffer from deteriorating living conditions, due to the Israeli blockade imposed on Gaza since 2007.
