Abdullah Kamil, the governor of Salfit, unveiled a new Israeli settlement scheme that aims to take over more than10,000 dunums of agricultural land in the governorate in order to expand settlements.

According to Kamil, the decision to take over agricultural lands and turn them into industrial and tourism zones, settlement units, and roads connecting communities was proclaimed by the occupation forces through the so-called "Supreme Planning Council".

According to the detailed plan released by the occupation, Kamil continued, a new industrial zone will be established on 4,000 dunums, as well as new settlement units, road networks, a cemetery, and public spaces. Additionally, the "Qana" settlement will be expanded and connected to the "Oranit" settlement, along with road systems and a Wastewater Pumping Plant.
