Hundreds of Palestinians in occupied Al-Quds face the possibility of being forcibly displaced, according to Lynn Hastings, the humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian area.
The UN coordinator stated via her Twitter account that “Today, Sunday, elderly members of the Sub Laban family may be displaced from their home in which they have lived since 1954 in the Old City of Al-Quds.
She went on by saying, “Hundreds of Palestinians in the east part of Al-Quds face the possibility of being forcibly displaced. This harmful policy must stop because it violates international law.”
Additionally, the European Union office stated in a tweet posted on “Twitter” that “about 150 Palestinian families in the east part of Al-Quds are at risk of displacement and forced eviction by the IOF.” The office also reiterated its opposition to the Israeli occupation settlement policy and the related endeavors, most notoriously the displacement of Palestinians.
