Thousands of worshippers performed Al-Fajr prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, within the Great Dawn campaign.

Thousands of Palestinians flocked from Al-Quds and the cities and towns of the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 to the mosque's courtyards in the early morning. Following the end of prayer, hundreds of them were arrested at the mosque.

Calls for the revival of the "Great Dawn" coincide with the risks posed to the mosque by the occupation's practices, settlements and Judaism schemes.
