Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu learned that the coalition needs 64 seats to pass judicial reform while working on negotiations at the president's office. Yesterday, he received definitive evidence of this, as at least four lawmakers voted for the coalition. This is the main conclusion of yesterday's futile speech.
Netanyahu believed the futile illusion that MP Rotman and Additional Justice Minister David Amsalem were trying to persuade him about. When they promised him that if Amit Bukhar won, they would choose two coalition members in the following round and that if Ivy Navi won, they would be close to the opposition. However, things have turned out otherwise, and deputies supported Crane Al-Harr, including at least four from the coalition.
It is highly doubted that Netanyahu even felt regret. He probably played this game so he could now tell Vinn that he did everything to postpone the vote.  However, there are independent and irate deputies who disrupted the vote and voted for Harr. If Netanyahu believes he benefited from the maneuver, he is mistaken. He was discovered to be following the whims of Finn, Rotman, and Amsalem, which cost him further points even within his own camp. Even if agreements were laid out in the negotiation room at the President's headquarters, the coalition realized that Netanyahu had no intention of achieving them.
The harm had already been done. Due to a highly dubious political maneuver, the dollar is increasing, the stock market is tanking, and the police have blocked Gaza Streets.
