According to an Israeli official, the Israeli occupation will empower its forces in the occupied West Bank and enhance its military capabilities. However, it will prevent the occurrence of a wide-scale operation, similar to the “Guard of Fence” operation in 2002.

He added, “we will not adopt any dramatic steps that would dismantle the Palestinian Authority, as this wouldn’t serve Israel’s interests. Thus, we have to spread forces in the field and calm as much as possible.”
