Around a thousand Palestinian detainees have initiated an open hunger strike since last night, protesting against the prisons administration's aggression towards the detainees.
Ahmed Al-Qedra, the spokesperson for the Prisoners Media Office, stated briefly, “After the prisoners collectively began their strike, it is upon all Palestinians to declare mobilization and take to the streets in support of the detainees."
Al-Qedra urged for massive marches to take place today after Friday prayers, as an expression of anger against the Israeli aggression on the detainees. The youth in the occupied West Bank have been mobilized to ignite confrontation points with the occupation.
The "Negev" prison witnessed a brutal raid by the guards on sections 3 and 4, with the prisoners being assaulted and arbitrarily transferred, leading to heightened tensions in the facility.
