The Commission of Detainees Affairs reported that the number of Palestinian prisoners infected with the Coronavirus in Gilboa Prison rose to 73, which is open for further increase the coming days. It also reported that the prisons’ administration initiated a full lockdown, cancelled all visits, and decided to move all infected prisoners to Tzalmon Prison. The Commission condemned the bad preventive measures inside the prisons and the administration’s complete disregard of the safety of the prisoners. It also said this was an intentional policy to open the door for the virus to infect the prisoners in order to lead to their death. The Commission said that a number of the infected prisoners felt the symptoms in the middle of last week and informed the prisons’ administration. However, the latter completely disregarded their requests and did not carry out any examinations.
