The Israeli military is avoiding implementing this step in the occupied West Bank, according to the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth."
The newspaper explained that the army is determined not to redeploy checkpoints and roadblocks in the occupied West Bank, as it would only lead to an increase in Palestinian resistance operations, especially in the current wave of operations.
The newspaper also pointed out that only specific crossings have been used to inspect Palestinians entering to work inside the occupied Palestinian territories since 1948, indicating significant restrictions on their movement. This increases concerns about the rise in acts of resistance.
