Introduction

Following a series of armed operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance, tensions between the Palestinian factions and the Israeli occupation have risen. These operations come in response to the Israeli atrocities committed against the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, the most recent of which resulted in the death of a colonial settler on August 21, 2023. As a result, the Cabinet organized a session and approved a series of resolutions targeting the perpetrators of operations and their officials on August 22, 2023. Thus, the cabinet authorized the prime minister and the minister of military to take the necessary actions.  

PM Benjamin Netanyahu has therefore made serious statements. Most importantly, he accused Hamas Deputy Sheikh Saleh Al-Naami, who is currently residing in Lebanon, of managing and funding operations in the West Bank against the Israeli occupation.
