The President of the Palestinian Authority's Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Qadura Fares, met with the Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, in Ramallah to discuss developments related to the issue of Palestinian prisoners and detainees.

Fares emphasized the seriousness of the Israeli occupation's measures against them, focusing on decisions made by Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir that affect their rights and privacy. These measures include reducing visits to once every two months and reducing food items in the "canteen," among others.
Fares warned of the international community's silence, stating that an explosion of tensions is imminent, both inside and outside the prisons, and that the confrontation this time will be open and fierce, sparing no one.
