In protest of their administrative detention, prisoners Kayed Al-Fafsous and Sultan Khalouf have been on an open hunger strike for 45 days running.

In view of the occupying forces' failure to comply with their demand to end their arbitrary administrative detention, the holdup in their transfer to civilian hospitals, and their ongoing confinement in cells, the Prisoners' Club warned of the increasing risks to their life.

The fact that Al-Fafsous is 34 years old is important. In 2023, the occupation administratively re-arrested him. He is a former prisoner who spent around 7 years in the jails of the occupation. He has participated in various strikes, including one that began in 2021 in protest of his administrative detention and lasted for about a year.

Sultan Khallouf, a 42-year-old prisoner, is being held by the occupation in the Ramla jail clinic due to his deteriorating health. He was a former prisoner who was housed in an occupation prison for four and a half years.
