Palestinian archaeologists in Gaza City discovered dozens of archaeological graves inside a Roman-era cemetery, which included two coffins made of lead.
According to the Associated Press Channel, the cemetery is said to be the largest historical cemetery ever found in the Gaza Strip, and according to experts, it dates back roughly two thousand years, as reported by the Associated Press.
At the site, 60 ancient graves were found in January of this year, indicating that the number of graves has increased to 135 graves.
The French archaeologist René Alter stated that the two lead coffins, one of which had adorned grape leaves and the other had dolphin pictures, were both hailed as extraordinary finds.
