Around 10,000 Palestinian prisoners are enduring harsh conditions in Israeli occupation prisons due to the oppressive policies, abuse, and torture imposed by prison authorities.
Statistics indicate that as of early March 2025, there are over 9,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. However, this number does not include all detainees from Gaza, as the occupation deliberately conceals the actual figures, according to the Media Department of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club.
Freed prisoners have revealed the severe suffering inside these prisons, particularly for detainees from Gaza, who endure the most violent and brutal forms of torture, including sexual assaults, physical abuse, humiliation, and severe beatings.
These violations have led to the deaths of 62 prisoners whose identities have been confirmed, including 40 from Gaza.
