OCHA: The Situation in Gaza Is the Worst Since the Start of the War

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has confirmed that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is "most likely the worst" since the beginning of the Israeli war on the enclave, coinciding with the ongoing blockade on humanitarian aid entry.

In a statement, the office said: "The humanitarian situation is now probably the worst it has been in the 18 months since the war began."

It noted that it has been a month and a half since any supplies were allowed into Gaza through the crossings — the longest period of halted aid entry to date.
