The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza has risen to 52,418 martyrs and 118,091 injuries, amid continued bombing and the difficulty rescue teams face in reaching victims trapped under rubble and on the roads.
The Israeli occupation army has continued its intense aerial and ground attacks across various areas of the Gaza Strip. Its warplanes launched heavy airstrikes targeting areas east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, in parallel with similar airstrikes on Gaza City, the northern parts of the Strip, and artillery shelling in the central region.
This escalation comes as Israeli military reports indicate preparations to expand ground operations in several areas of the Strip in an effort to gain control over new territory. Israeli sources claim that the aim of this escalation is to "put pressure on Hamas and push it to return to the negotiating table."
