The Ministry of Health in Gaza has launched the Global Campaign for Solidarity with the Children of Gaza to stop the killing of children by the Israeli occupation in its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.

During its press conference announcing the campaign, the ministry stated that the Israeli occupation continues its systematic policy of starving more than 2 million people for over two months by closing border crossings to food and medical supplies and cutting off water access—children being the most affected. It reported that 57 children have died due to malnutrition.

The ministry added that 16,278 children have been killed since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza, which means that a child is martyred every 40 minutes. It also noted that 311 children were born and killed during the war. Moreover, 51% of maternal and child health medications are at zero stock, including therapeutic supplements, vitamins, and vaccines.

The Ministry called on health and humanitarian organizations, activists, and media professionals around the world to participate in efforts to save Gaza’s children, stop the genocide, end the famine, and protect their childhood.
