Five Palestinian journalists were killed since dawn today in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas across the Gaza Strip.
Field reporters confirmed the deaths of journalists Abdul Rahman Al-Abadla, Aziz Al-Hajjar, Ahmed Al-Zeinati, and Khaled Abu Seif along with his wife, Noor Qandeel.
Journalist Abdul Rahman Al-Abadla was killed in an Israeli strike on Khan Younis in the south of Gaza, while journalist Aziz Al-Hajjar, his wife, and their children were killed in a strike on the northern part of the Strip.
In Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, journalist Noor Qandeel, her husband journalist Khaled Abu Seif, and their daughter were killed in an airstrike that targeted their home. Journalist Ahmed Al-Zeinati and his children were also killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit their tent west of Khan Younis.
Since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza, 222 journalists have been killed, 409 others injured—some losing limbs—and 48 journalists have been detained, according to confirmed names.
