The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced the martyrdom of detainee Amr Hatem Odeh (33 years old) from Gaza, on December 13, 2023, at the Israeli “Sde Teiman” military camp.

The club stated that Odeh was arrested along with his family from their home at the beginning of the ground invasion of Gaza, on December 7, 2023.

It added that with the martyrdom of Amr Odeh, the number of prisoner martyrs who have died since October 7 has risen to at least 70, including 44 detainees from Gaza whose identities are known. This brings the total number of documented prisoner martyrs since 1967 to 307, according to institutional records.

It is worth noting that the number of detainees in Israeli prisons reached more than 10,100 by the beginning of May, including 39 women, over 400 children, 3,577 administrative detainees, and 1,846 detainees from Gaza classified as "unlawful combatants." This figure does not include all Gaza detainees, especially those held in military camps operated by the Israeli army.
