The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced that the number of Palestinian prisoners who have died in Israeli occupation prisons has reached 307 since 1967, including 44 from the Gaza Strip whose identities are known.
In a statement, the Commission confirmed that the situation is deteriorating dangerously, especially with the continued detention of thousands of prisoners under harsh conditions and their exposure to systematic abuses.
The total number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons exceeds 10,100, including 45 women and more than 400 children. There are also 3,577 administrative detainees.
Additionally, the number of Gaza detainees classified by the Israeli prison administration as “unlawful combatants” stands at 1,846, though this figure does not include all Gaza detainees—particularly those held in camps run by the Israeli military.
