Israeli Channel 12 reported that the Israeli occupation army is expanding its operations in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, entering new areas of the city.

The channel quoted a military source as saying: “We are advancing in our operations in Khan Younis, occupying new territory and not withdrawing from the areas we have reached.”

Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes simultaneously with intense artillery shelling targeting central and northern Khan Younis. Northern and eastern areas of the city were also targeted, amid low-altitude flights by warplanes and heavy gunfire directed at residential neighborhoods.
