For the second consecutive day, the Israeli occupation is exploiting the declaration of a "state of emergency" following its aggression against Iran to reclose Al-Aqsa Mosque and evacuate it of worshippers.
On Sunday, occupation forces once again shut down Al-Aqsa completely and forced worshippers out, continuing a strict lockdown for the ninth day in a row.
This renewed closure comes just three days after the mosque was partially reopened, with access limited to only 500 worshippers. It had initially been closed on Friday, June 13, coinciding with the start of the aggression on Iran.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli forces also closed all roads leading to the Buraq Plaza, as well as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and all Christian churches and holy sites, citing orders from what is known as the “Home Front Command.”
