The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has entered its 629th day amid intense military escalation and a suffocating blockade that has led to severe famine.

At least 100 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured over the past 24 hours in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip. Among the victims were 14 people who were waiting for aid in the central region.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while gathering at aid distribution centers to 549, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza, in addition to more than 4,000 injuries.

On the international front, Virginia Gamba, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, warned against international silence over the suffering of Gaza's children, stating:
"The international community cannot continue to stand by idly in the face of what is happening in Gaza."
